Recuerdos de Panamá

Mis jefes se han ido de viaje para Panamá.

Aunque no me han llevado con ellos, me siento como si yo mismo hubiera estado allá debido a que, a raiz de dicho viaje, ha sido necesario invertir una buena cantidad de tiempo contactando proveedores telefónicamente, solicitando cotizaciones, buscando direcciones en Google Earth, etc…

Desde ese punto de vista, me ha gustado bastante Panamá por 2 razones:

Como instalar DDWRT en un Router DLink Dir 615 E5

DLink Dir 615 E5 con DD-WRT ? SI ES POSIBLE.

En la sección Support -> Router Database de www.dd-wrt.com encontraremos el Firmware para DLink Dir 615 para las versiones de hardware C1, C2, D1, D2, D3, D4, E1, E3 y E4…….. pero NO PARA la E5.

Lo que yo he hecho es descargar el siguiente archivo de 13MB.

Dicho archivo contiene 4 archivos BIN con Firmwares que debes instalar en su respectivo orden.

El procedimiento es sencillo, veamos:

Yealink Upload RingTone

According to the docs they must be smaller than 100k; 16 bit 8k ulaw.

Note: Audio files (once converted per instructions below) can not exceed 100k.

Easiest way to convert a file for use as audio file in Yealink phone.

1. Use your audio editing program of your choice to edit the file.
2. Save it as MONO .wav file
3. Use SOX command line version for Windows (have not got it work in Linux).

You want to convert the .wav file to a .wav file with U-Law encoding. There is a typo on the Yealink web interface (probably also in the manual) – it says to use 16 bit file… u-law will not encode at 16bit, it will at 14bit and that will work.

command line to convert the file:

sox InputFileName.wav -e u-law -r 8000 OutputFileName.wav

If it gives you a WARN flag related to clipping, it’s because the input file volume is too high.

To lower it, you can use the -v (volume) parameter in front of the input file. The -v parameter operates in multiple of volume, so you need a fractional number to decrease volume. Here’s an example:

sox -v 0.95 InputFileName.wav -e u-law -r 8000 OutputFileName.wav

Qué buscas en un celular? Qué buscas en un teléfono móvil?
Sea cual sea la respuesta, a mayor tecnología, mayor precio.
Pero la cantidad de tecnología ni la cantidad de dinero invertido nunca será proporcional a la satisfacción.

La felicidad no es tener mucho, sino tener lo suficiente.
¿Qué es tener lo suficiente? Eso depende de lo que consideremos como necesidad.
Para mi ser rico no es tener mucho dinero, sino pocas necesidades.

Realmente el w395 NO ES el mejor teléfono Sony Ericsson que existe, pero me hace feliz.
